Privacy Policy
The short version
We collect the bare minimum needed to do the job: your contact details, VIN, chassis code, and a description of the symptom. We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising trackers on this site. The only third parties who see your data are the payment processor (so you can pay) and the coder who performs the work.
What we collect

What we don't collect
- We do not run analytics tag managers, Facebook pixels, Google Analytics, or any cross-site tracker on the booking flow.
- We do not store your full VIN — only the last 7 characters, which is what's needed for chassis identification.
- We do not log into your vehicle's connected services or your iDrive account.
Who we share data with
- The coder performing your work. They see the same submission you sent us so they can plan the session.
- Stripe. Handles payment. They have their own privacy policy.
- Netlify. Hosts this website and processes form submissions on our behalf. They have their own privacy policy.
- Email provider. For transactional emails (booking confirmation, reschedules).
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone for advertising or marketing purposes.
Your rights
You can request:
- A copy of the data we hold on you.
- Correction of any inaccurate data.
- Deletion of your data, subject to any legal retention requirements (e.g. tax records).
Email contact@canbench.com with the subject "data request" and we'll respond within 30 days.
Cookies
We use one cookie: a session cookie set during the booking flow so the slot you've selected isn't lost if the page reloads. It expires when you close the tab. We do not use any third-party advertising or analytics cookies.
Children
Our service is not directed to anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be emailed to active customers.
